Privacy policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
Booth Electrical Co ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we look after it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
We only collect information we need to quote, book and carry out electrical work for you, such as:
- your name, phone number, email address and suburb or street address
- details about your property and the work you need (for example, number of bedrooms or the age of your smoke alarms)
- photos of your property or electrical work, where you provide them or we take them on the job
- billing and payment records
How we collect it
We collect information when you call, text or email us, fill in a form on our website, or submit an enquiry through a Facebook or Instagram lead form. When you use a Facebook or Instagram form, Meta passes your answers to us. Meta's own use of that information is covered by Meta's privacy policy.
How we use it
- to contact you about your enquiry and book a time
- to quote, carry out and invoice work
- to issue compliance certificates and keep records required by law
- to follow up on work we have done, such as warranty or service reminders
We will not sell your personal information. We won't send you marketing unless you have agreed to it, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We only share your information when we need to, for example with:
- the software we use to run our business, such as job management, accounting and email tools
- suppliers or subcontractors working on your job
- government bodies or regulators where the law requires it
Some of these service providers may store data outside Australia. We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.
How we keep it safe
We store information in secure, password-protected systems and only our team can access it. We keep records for as long as we need them for the work and for legal and tax requirements, and then delete or destroy them securely.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. Just contact us using the details below.
